On 13 December 2014 we took part in a Christmas meeting hosted by the Director of the Royal Łazienki Museum . In recognition of our commitment and contribution to the preservation of the Museum's heritage we were awarded a commemorative medal with the image of the last Polish king, Stanisław August Poniatowski. On October 30 and 31 we were in Düsseldorf, taking part in Successful R&I in Europe: 6th European Networking Event, where we gave a presentation on “Advanced methods and processes for the preservation of underwater heritage”

On October 23 the Exhibit Conservation Department of the National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk held the second seminar on the conservation of metal and combined objects. We had an opportunity to attend a number of interesting presentations and engage in follow-up discussions.

On October 16 we visited the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. We were shown around the Museum's conservation workshops and shared our experience concerning the applications of nanocalcium in heritage conservation. Our Greek colleagues are currently working on securing ancient sculptures recovered from the sea by the coast of the island of Antikythera, an exceptionally demanding task. Good luck!
