Koszyki Hall

The revitalization of the Koszyki Hall is almost complete. The Municipality of Warsaw began the construction of that magnificent and remarkably modern for its day market hall in 1906. In 1909 it was handed over for use. Its Art Nouveau design had been created by the architect Juliusz Dzierżanowski. Soon, after years of heavy degradation, a new office, restaurant and grocery shopping complex is due to be opened in its place. Restauro contributed to the project by renovating the remaining heritage buildings. Apart from renovation works, we were also asked to examine the original colourway of the gatehouses and the annexe. The obtained results were used by architects to redesign the colours of the reconstructed hall. The final outcome can already be viewed on
